Kurniasih came from Middle Java which was struck by a strong earthquake last May. ¡§Alhumdullillah! All my family members were safe.¡¨She said.

Topped the top five chart last year, she had borrowed totally 72 items, most of them were books. How could she find time to read? She said she would read in the afternoon when the baby boy she was looking after took a nap. ¡§He would not leave me for a second. The best thing to do is to pick up a book and read for an hour or so while he is sleeping.¡¨

She favoured reading because it inspires her to think. That is why she loves reading books about life. ¡§In my view, life should have a purpose. I think reading could help in this regard.¡¨

Her favourite author is Ustaz Hj. Ashaari Muhammad, and her favourite book is Falsafah Ke Arah Menyelesaikan Masaalah Hidup Menurut Islam. ¡§Muhammad's books are about life. They are all very inspiring.¡¨
