About the speaker
Dr. Amjad Qoursheh is a Jordanian academic with interests in comparative religion and Christian-Muslim relations. He was awarded his doctorate from the University of Birmingham in 2003, following which he returned to Jordan to his alma mater to lecture in comparative religion, Islamic faith and culture and Quranic recitation. Dr. Qoursheh is currently Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Islamic Sciences, University of Jordan. Fluent in both Arabic and English, Dr. Qoursheh has traveled extensively and attended conferences and workshops on spirituality and religion, spirituality and education, Christianity and Islam and comparative religion. He has also extensive teaching experience having taught Islamic education at high school level. Dr. Qoursheh resides in Amman, Jordan with his wife and three daughters.
